EPOS Installation Engineer

Reporting to the Operation Manager or whomever the company may deem suitable from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities

EPOS Engineers are responsible for the installation of EPOS Systems, including network infrastructure, structured cabling systems to support voice, data and CCTV.

EPOS Engineers usually perform the following tasks:

• Installation of pre imaged Customer EPOS systems
• Resolving & repairing cabling related issues on GCIS Customers sites, and reporting issues back to the
customers.
• Assist in the installation of EPOS System
• Assist in the Move and Changes of Customers Cabling and EPOS Systems.
• Testing and terminating cables.
• Patching systems.
• Solving issues related to cables and networks.
• Fault finding Skills
• Having hardworking methods.
• Being self-motivated.
• Must be able/confident on using power tools
• Having competent written and spoken communication abilities.
• Being proactive.
• Good Communication
• Being flexible and creative.
• Being able to prioritise effectively.
• Having teamwork abilities.
• Having attention for details.
• Having competent math skills.
• Being able to stay calm under pressure.
• Any other duties reasonably requested by the management of GCIS (UK) Ltd to meet the needs of the business

Junior Cabling Engineer

Reporting to the Operation Manager or whomever the company may deem suitable from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities

Data Cabling Engineers are responsible for the installation of network infrastructure including structured cabling systems to support voice, data and CCTV. Engineers may also install fibre cables and network equipment according to company needs.

Data Cabling Engineers usually perform the following tasks:

• Installing Cat5e, CAT6, CAT6a, CW1308 and Single Mode and Multi-Mode Fibre Cabling
• Testing and terminating cables.
• Patching systems.
• Solving issues related to cables and networks.
• Fault finding Skills
• Having hardworking methods.
• Being self-motivated.
• Must be able/confident on using power tools
• Having competent written and spoken communication abilities.
• Being proactive.
• Good Communication
• Being flexible and creative.
• Being able to prioritise effectively.
• Having teamwork abilities.
• Having attention for details.
• Having competent math skills.
• Being able to stay calm under pressure.
• Any other duties reasonably requested by the management of GCIS (UK) Ltd to meet the needs of the business

Cabling Engineer

Reporting to the Operation Manager or whomever the company may deem suitable from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities

Data Cabling Engineers are responsible for the installation of network infrastructure including structured cabling systems to support voice, data and CCTV. Engineers may also install fibre cables and network equipment according to company needs. The Senior engineer is to be the customer contact on site and responsible to ensure the jobs are finished on time, as well as looking after the Assistant engineers on site.

Data Cabling Engineers usually perform the following tasks:

• Installing Cat5e, CAT6, CAT6a, CW1308 and Single Mode and Multi-Mode Fibre Cabling
• Testing and terminating cables of Copper and Fibre Optical Cabling
• Patching systems.
• Solving issues related to cables and networks.
• Fault finding Skills
• Having hardworking methods.
• Being self-motivated.
• Must be able/confident on using power tools
• Having competent written and spoken communication abilities.
• Being proactive.
• Good Communication
• Being flexible and creative.
• Being able to prioritise effectively.
• Having teamwork abilities.
• Having attention for details.
• Having competent math skills.
• Being able to stay calm under pressure.
• CSCS / ECS / IPAF & SSSTS Card (desirable)
• Knowledge of Fluke Cable IQ, and DSX Testers (desirable)
• Any other duties reasonably requested by the management of GCIS (UK) Ltd to meet the needs of the business
